“About time, we’ve been buried with too much other junk.
This one has a bunch of small tweaks to looting, including the ability to harvest monsters that turn into herbs (ditto for ore). Just make sure skinning is turned on. Glider paws at monsters a bit when they die, but it learns really quickly when a monster becomes skinnable or not - this makes all looting faster, since it won’t wait for monsters that it never was able to skin. Really looks good when you’re gliding mixed groups of skinnable and non-skinnable. Just let it paw at a mob the first 2-3 times and don’t panic.
Other big changes are warlock and warrior code are moved over into the new model. Warrior code is mostly as-is, but it still gets a bunch of the new toys, like backing away from adds and jumping straight into combat without the pause-tab-pause crapola, which makes charging very smooth. I also threw in a Mortal Strike option at the last minute (Hamut did the original changes, so we can yell at him if it does something stupid) so that you can have Glider use both in combat. As a tip, put in an artificially high rage cost for Heroic Strike if you plan to use both - this way Glider will spam both when there is enough rage, but otherwise save it for MS.
As is typical for new classes, some combat log dependencies have been removed because Glider can read action bars better. So Shield Bash and Overpower both work in all languages without requiring any special setup in the combat log.
Warlock got a lot more love and now is capable of kiting, which is fun as hell to watch and super efficient with afflic spec and a decent wand. Some other basic combat smarts are in, like Glider will have non-imp pets off-tank adds if you aren’t fearing them, it can tell when your succubus seduced an add, and it does a lot of jumping and other humanish stuff. It looks really nice. It also uses Consume Shadows for voidies, which is handy for demo spec guys to avoid wasting time with Health Funnel or dead demons.
Official bullets below:
- Warlock: new code with kiting and other fun stuff! See help and new config options.
- Warrior: new code with some buttons moved, particularly Overpower! See help and update your keys/shortcuts.
- Added turbo loot for “safe” corpses, loots much faster. Also handles monsters that become harvestable (herb/ore) if you have skinning enabled.
- Added hidden config option MaxStartDistance to let you override how far away the closest waypoint can be when starting glide.
- Tweaked interface cooldown detection to try and stumble over itself a bit less.
- Tweaked mouse spin to be a bit smoother.
- Tweaked shadow driver to not dig as deep on stack, we’ll see how blue screens are with this.
- Temporarily disabled shadow read functionality - it’s not ready for public use.
Elite warning!
That’s right, hunter is the last class in the old model. We’re going to move it over and add a bunch of smarts for adds/feign/etc. Then it’ll be time to push out the elite sub model and get cracking on the scriptlet framework. Exciting times here.

Important/TLDR version:
Some keys were moved for warlocks and warriors! If you’ve edited your keys.xml to relocate them, you should be fine. If you’re running with default keys (shame on you!), then check the help file and examine each spell to make sure it’s in the right spot.
Keys in particular to be worried about: Overpower, Hamstring, and demon summoning (all demons map to one key now!).
Damn, forgot to edit warlock help…
This is not in the help file, but the SummonDemon key defaults to 5 on the rest bar. So put your demon there - or save Keys.xml after Glider starts and then edit it to put in your new key and reload it.”
