MMOGlider customer ‘kyooty123‘ was caught trying to steal a Glider Elite key when everything backfired! ‘kyooty123′ tried to scam Elite member ‘Burnzy’ out of his key. What he didn’t know was that Burnzy had given him a fake key, generated by the MMOGlider developer ‘Hamut’ just to capture the scammers IP address.

Here is Burnzy’s chat log:

We suggest that you change all your passwords and personal info until it is removed. But the reason i’m instant messaging you is to inform you your glider key has been logged on from another IP-adress and we need to confirm it was you. If it was not you, it has been stolen in the key log and we can replace it with a new one, disabling your old one.

Hamut says “So Burnzy and I talk on Vent and this AIM account is scamming him. I generate a gliderkey and give it to Burnzy. He gives it to the scammer and I see the IP pop up when the scammer logs in to check it We do a lookup by loc and get Ohio. The rest is here in the chat - enjoy.

For those of you thinking ‘TLDR (too long didn’t read). Basically scammer tries to scam Glider member. Victim contacts Glider dev. Glider dev gives victim fake key to give to scammer. Scammer tries to use fake key and gets IP logged. Glider dev procedes to threaten scammer and requests a public apology on the member forums or one could call it public humiliation.

The Glider fanboys are having a blast at this poking all sorts of fun at the scammer as well as trying to figure out everything they can about him such as address, name, phone number, etc.
