Possible Connection for Battle.net Bans and Release of WoW Expansion?

Rumors circulating the internet say that Blizzard‘s recent banning may be tied to the Wrath of the Lich King’s release. The bans come just 2 days before the expansions release. Blizzard still hasn’t closed the original Diablo‘s Battle.net, so they obviously won’t be closing Diablo 2′s for a long time either. But it sure looks like they are giving you a friendly nudge to ‘upgrade’ to their Pay-to-Play alternative.
